Year 8s heart Science!

Under careful supervision, some of the Year 8 students were taught about the functions of the heart, having the opportunity to dissect a pig’s heart, with our Head of Science, Dan Court.

A pig’s heart closely resembles that of a human heart and the boys watched with interest as Dan showed them how to careful cut open the organ and look for the Aorta, Aortic valves and Pulmonary Artery as part of their Science curriculum.
