Lower School learn about their local area

Lower School classes KM and RH recently attended an educational trip to Rutland Water .

The groups enjoyed learning about it’s history and found out lots of interesting facts about Rutland Water and the surrounding areas. This helped to improve their own knowledge of the local area, supporting and embedding their current topic, ‘Water and Rivers’.

They were taken on three guided walks in different locations, went birdwatching and completed the day by designing their own reservoirs.

Great fun and learning was observed all day!
